The difference between 3D printing rapid prototyping and simple mold

3D printing molds can be divided into two types: disposable molds and detachable molds. The detachable mold method also includes a double-sided mold. Once the solder paste is cooled, the mold can be simply disassembled. This method is useful if you need to make multiple metal parts, because the detachable 3D printing mold can be reused. The disposable mold can only be demoulded after the metal material is cooled and finalized.

Metal 3D printing uses metal materials to make parts directly, but the cost of this process can only be borne by industrial manufacturers, and it does not have economic benefits for most ordinary manufacturers. Although 3D printing combined with casting process requires more steps and time than direct 3D printing, it is very suitable for manufacturing fine metal parts, and it is easier for ordinary manufacturers to introduce this technology.

3D printing is a rapid prototyping technology. It is based on 3D data model, and uses bindable materials such as powder or plastic like materials to print the model layer by layer.

What are we inseparable from in real life? For young people, it's mobile phones. In summer, we can't live without air conditioners. Can you imagine that this technology can print air conditioners? We all know that air conditioners help us cool down. What's the difference between printed air conditioners with this technology? In fact, there is not much change in the function. The big change is in the appearance. 3D printing will be more exquisite because it can be customized according to the needs of customers.

3D printing can also print music scores and pictures. Of course, it doesn't work for us because we have eyes to see. But it is very precious for blind people, because they can't see the beauty of the world, so this technology can help them feel the beauty of the world, touch it with their hands, and then understand a painting or a song.
