Rapid prototype 3D Printing service

3D printing is the most common additive manufacturing process. The main advantage of using 3D printing is that it is fast and affordable.

The three most common 3D printing processes for additive manufacturing are selective Multi Jet Fusion (MJF), Stereo lithography Appearance (SLA), and fused deposition modeling (FDM).

MJF is popular because of the high toughness and long life of PA12 material, which is widely used in the field of equipment parts.

SLA has the best surface finish and highest detail accuracy and tolerances of any 3D printing process. SLA is also well suited for prototyping transparent parts, especially QuickClear finishes on some materials.

Rapid Prototype Injection

Rapid injection molding is a process that results in a very durable set of identical parts for testing multiple backup parts. Rapid injection molding can be used both for high fidelity product evaluation and for interim production at product launch. Typical lead times for rapid molding are 2-3 weeks for the initial part. Compared to rapid prototyping, additive molding may be the best process for rapid prototyping because of the stringent material requirements or mechanical needs that are not possible with these methods.

While rapid injection molding is slower than 3D printing or CNC machining, it is often critical to see more parts to get as close to the final geometry as possible. This is where injection molding excels, with its high repeatability and near-net final shape.
